Dadaab Stories

FilmAid International was awarded a grant from the Tribeca Film Institute to create an interactive experience about the Dadaab refugee camp. Ronik strategized, concepted, designed and developed the Dadaab Stories site along with a partner site called The Refugee News. In order to jumpstart a broad reach and allow for easier contribution by the refugees themselves both sites are powered by Tumblr.

Chartbeat approached Ronik to concept, design and develop a way to simply and directly explain the features for their new web app, Newsbeat. With many pieces to cover, we decided to produce a video that would introduce Newsbeat to users, as well as, drive them through the new features of the product. Aside from video and sound production, Ronik also designed a custom video player developed in HTML5 to ensure iPad and mobile compatibility for their site.

Nasdaq 40th Anniversary

We were approached for a project to showcase and celebrate the history and growth of NASDAQ. Meant to only be a 20 sec highlight of the 40th Anniversary, the objective was to create an engaging video animation that would be displayed on the NASDAQ LED wall in Times Square. What resulted was a video produced entirely using motion graphics, 3D and CGI with integrated company logos to visualize the scale of NASDAQ at 40 years.

With over 4 million readers, Guyism approached Ronik to create a brand that they felt could live in any medium. As Guyism.com continues to grow and reach more users everyday, they felt they needed to rebrand to match their growing audience. The idea was to define an identity that would remain relevent and recognizable to their users.

WeAreTheMarket.com is a fashion blog curated by fashion consultancy BPMW, who chronicle the fashion world from inside the industry. Ronik was asked to elevate their blog stream into a photo-driven editorial website, focused on both original content and aggregated fashion news. The site showcases BPMW's trend-forecasting ability by tracking rising trends and designers, as well as updates site accent colors when a new Pantone is selected as the currently trending color in fashion.
